A haunted mental hospital

The year is 1930. Doctor Bartholomew, who runs the St Thomas’s Asylum in London, welcomes a new employee: Janet, the daughter of an old friend of his and an expert in hypnotherapy. She is put in charge of treating Lady Lavinia Hill, an old star of the London stage and lover of the stage hypnotist Mesmero.

As Janet explores the past – Lavinia’s and that of the hospital itself, she starts to uncover a series of dark secrets. Secrets to do with mesmerism, murder and the locked up Ward 13…
