The Brampton funeral parlour has been run by brothers David and Gareth along with their two mums, Gladys and mum number 2 for many years, serving the local community with kindness and good humour.

So when they receive the recently deceased Mary Robinson, it’s business as usual. However, things turn strange and ominous when Mrs Robinson’s daughter Rhiannon and son in law Ryan take control of the funeral arrangements. Did Mrs Robinson really die of natural causes? Will David be able to restrain his passion for Rhiannon? Why is the town obsessed with the ‘pollywhacking’, an dubious activity involving weasels?
