Venice Beach in the 60s

When beautiful, wealthy Venice beach inhabitant Marlene was cheated on her by her boyfriend, the surfing legend Ricky, she swore she’d have nothing to do with him again. But when the Beach Body Beautiful competition is announced, they go toe to toe.

In order to gain an edge, Ricky goes to his shady friend Johnson who provides him with the powerful Body Royale 200 pills. When Ricky is exposed as a cheat his anger and depression and rejection by Marlene drive him into darkness.

And then the storm comes – the worst storm in living memory. And with storms come waves – dangerously big waves. 79,000-foot waves. Waves that perhaps only Ricky has the skills to surf…

Featuring Frank Sinatra whose voice is so beautiful no one will let him pay for anything; and a remarkable protest song by the peace corp girl Stacey.
