A Band Camp on the shores of lake Ontario

A bunch of musically gifted teenagers flock together for their annual summer camp. Johnny the 14-year-old guitarist whose hormones are out of control; Terence who plays avant garde sax; Kathy who sees the world through a dark filter but is many ways more mature than all the others; Margaret who has the hots for Johnny; and Ursula who has long been Johnny’s friend.

While the youngsters are going through their loves and losses, friendships and breakups, the adults have their own baggage to deal with: namely that Mr Withers has not gotten over his relationship with Wendy, even though he runs the camp with her and employs as canoe teacher Wendy’s new girlfriend Mrs Philips.

It’s only when Withers brings everyone together to play at the group concert that everything comes to a head…
