Show 900: Gondola Wind – 9th October – Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London

Venetian Gondola Training School

When Master Alfonso allows two budding Gondolieri, young Italian Giovanni Guiseppi Morelli and Cockney Sandra Paddock to lash their boats together, and create Venice’s first Love Gondola, life looks good for both them and for Venice. That is until his ex-wife, the world-famous opera singer Long-Limbed Lolicia visits to reclaim Giovanni, and also introduce him to his Damian.

Featuring the classic chorus ‘I took her hand in hers as she took my hand in mine.’ and multiple references to the 1973 War of Italy, in which government forces were attacked by minotaurs.
