The Showstoppers go full – meta, as a Mills and Boon author discovers his Vampire – Tale characters stepping off of the page and into his real life, with completely entertaining results. Like a mash – up of “City Of Angels”, Pirandello’s “Six Characters In Search Of An Author”, and Woody Allen’s “The Purple Rose Of Cairo”, this was a bold adventure in story-telling, featuring a Broadway Medley at the top of Act Two, a Guggenheim rap number by a sad vampire Count, and a ‘phone box full of hamsters.
