Location: A border crossing in North Korea

Captain Cross and Corporal Kim Bannerman of the North Korean army fall in love while defending against the threat of the South.

But when it turns out that Kim was originally South Korean, it makes Cross question his anti-South feelings. Things escalate when it transpires that Kim’s mother was having an affair with The General of the South (the leader of South Korea) but had Kim with her true love, The General of the North.

By the end of the musical, after multliple flashbacks to a certain cherry orchard, it seems that everyone is related to everyone – and the walls between the two nations crumble…
