Show 976 – Oh My Gods! – 24th September – Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London

Mount Olympus

Ancient Greece – the golden age of the gods. Zeus sits on his throne atop Mount Olympus, unhappy, brooding, lonely. Persephone sits on the lower slopes, catching fish at the local olive grove, dreaming of mighty Zeus. Zeus sends a mortal man – Harmonious, who has been given the gift of music by Apollo (god of teaching the lyre) to find a suitable bride. But when he sees her, Harmonious chooses to defy the gods and woo Persephone by pretending that he himself is the mighty ruler of Olympus. Oh. My. Gods.
