Show 861: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow – 3rd August – Edinburgh Festival Fringe

A Royal Retirement Home

British monarchs don’t die – they simply retire. But when you get a group of monarchs living together, don’t be surprised when things get volatile.

The cast included stammering, gentle George VI, resentful Prince Philip, King Harold (and his love of alternately building then burning down cathedrals), Love-lorn Queen Elizabeth 1 and gin-toting princess Anne, all ruled over by the kindly but stern Victoria.

Featuring a high-stakes croquet game and an attempt to be taller than the other person using all the props on stage.
