Show 811: Planking! – 21st April – Nottingham Theatre Royal

A pirate ship

Two pirate captain, Briony Smithson and Brian Scaryface, have a history. They hate each other because they used to love each other. And they used to share a secret passion: poetry.

After their bitter split, Scaryface vowed to crush all literature and the two ships went their looting way about the Seven Seas.

Then one day, both ships find themselves chasing the same treasure, known only as The Bounty. But when they see no treasure and only the competition is in sight, the crews start to get suspicious that the two captains might have a different agenda…

Featuring works by Kate Tempest and Shakespeare, a cameo by a famous pirate (‘Ich Bin Davey Jones) and a lot of planking.
