An underground bunker in a post-apocalyptic world

Leader Thompson insists that all his band of surviving humans cannot go up to the surface as it will be lethal. He also wants to protect his daughter Suzie from the amorous advances of diligent Stephen. When they break free of Thompson’s authority, they discover not only Thomson’s dark secret about his part in the nuclear war, but also dare to go to the surface to see if it is as lethal as Thompson said*.
