Show 584: Battered But Not Beaten – 6th August, Pleasance, Edinburgh Fringe 2015

A Yorkshire fish and chip shop, 1978

Sheila, the daughter of fish and chip shop owners Sandra and Paul, falls in love with two men: the shy, loving Darren and the wily, motorbike-driving lothario Jimmy. When Sheila’s mother reveals she had an affair with Jimmy sixteen years earlier, will that bombshell destroy the family, or finally bring them together?

Featuring a dream sequence where Shiela is given baffling advice by her idol Donny Osmond.
