Alex Atty trained in classical percussion and timpani at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she worked with RADA and the RSC, played orchestral music at the Barbican conducted by Sir Mark Elder and studied African drumming in Ghana. Alex has performed widely as a professional musician, touring with Abandoman, accompanying Loretta Maine and taking part in the London Improvathon.
